The Epilepsy Therapy Project is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit corporation dedicated to a singular focus: overcoming the funding gaps and roadblocks that slow the progress of new therapies from the lab to the patient. Epilepsy Therapy Project seeks to improve incentives and encourage commercial investment in new therapies. Acting as both a catalyst and clearing house for innovative research and the early commercialization of new therapies, the Epilepsy Therapy Project brings together financial resources, scientific insights and business expertise from leading academic and commercial industry participants.

The mission of the Epilepsy Research Foundation is to drive the development of new therapies for epilepsy, accelerating the advancement of research from the laboratory to the patient. Read more

New Therapy Grants Program / Apply for Grant Funding

The New Therapy Grants Program provides grants supporting the research and development of new therapies, including new medicines and therapeutic devices, in both academic and commericial settings worldwide. Consistent with the theme of translational research, all grant proposals must demonstrate a clear path from the lab to the patient. Read more

1:1 matching grants to academic and commercial entities to support the commercialization of novel approaches to the treatment of epilepsy. These matching funds seek to leverage other resources, and accelerate the pace of therapeutic advance. Read more

Milken Family Foundation Translational Research Awards / Apply for Grant Funding

The Milken Family Foundation has a remarkable history of medical philanthropy and in particular a longstanding and unique commitment to advancing cures for epilepsy. The MFF Translational Research Awards target the area of greatest need and potential impact in this therapy pipeline—the translation of basic research to therapeutic product candidates. The Foundation will favor proposals focused on women with epilepsy and their unique issues during child-bearing years. Read more
